It’s indeed the most festive time of the year! Typically, it’s the season when we gather with our friends, families and loved ones to celebrate the holidays over food and gift-giving. As we participate in subsequent celebrations left and right, the dilemma would always be thinking of the venue. On these momentous occasions, we’re often on the look-out for a different venue to restore the memories.
Just recently, I found a place in Tomas Morato, Quezon City that I deem perfect for holding these parties. It’s like a huge secret garden tucked in the busy streets of QC. It’s a restaurant featuring Pan-Asian and classic Filipino food that also renders live band performances to keep you entertained. In celebrating milestones, Dapo is an ideal venue not only for its photography- worthy setting but also for its Filipino culinary specialties that will truly satisfy your appetite.
The name “Dapo” (Bird’s Nest Ferns) was taken from the name of the plant. Surrounding the vicinity are different types of ferns, flowers, and hanging lights and lamps that create a visually appealing ambiance. There is also a small pond at the side which all the more adds a touch of nature to Dapo.
The food tasting for bloggers and media influencers was a ginormous feast. Our table spread consisted mostly of Filipino food with a twist such as Sisig, Bulalo, Kare Kare, Kaldereta, Pancit, Beef in Mushroom Sauce, Chopsuey, Sizzling Hungarian Sausage and Sinugba Platter. Each recipe preserved the traditional Filipino taste but made more special for your adventurous palate. All the dishes were delectable, but these stood out for me: Sizzling Sisig, Bulalo, and Pancit. The serving portions are good for sharing, so it is perfect for group dining.

Completing your extraordinaire dining experience are the live band performances every night! Listen to your favorite songs performed by their seasoned artists or sing your heart out!
Dapo is all- set to cater to any big event such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate functions, and other parties. It’s an instant venue for any special occasion.
In such a busy, highly urbanized place as Quezon City, it comes as a surprise that a nature-inspired restaurant is one of the best-loved venues for dining and entertainment. Running for almost two decades now, Dapo brings together culinary expertise, warm customer service, and exquisite venue to make an ordinary event unforgettable.
Thanks Dapo for inviting us!
